Democratic Republic of Congo: Instructors – Pastoral Courses

The Free Methodist Church in Democratic Republic of Congo seeks instructors for pastoral courses at University of Tanganyika East Africa.  Free Methodist World Missions desires to process these instructors as missionaries.

• Candidates should be able to articulate a call to missionary or cross-cultural service,
• Candidates should have cross-cultural training and be willing to order their lives with sensitivity to the host culture,
• Candidates should have relevant M.A. or M.Div., or, Ph.D. or D.Min.,
• Candidates should be ordained and be willing to become a Free Methodist minister,
• Candidates should have or be willing to get exposure to developing world environments and cultures,
• Candidates should have at least two years pastoral experience,
• Candidate should speak French or be willing to learn.

Guidance is provided for partnership/support building.

Responsibilities include all normal responsibilities of a university instructor; preparation, classroom presentation, testing, office hours for students, faculty/department meetings.

In case the applicant is married, there are other meaningful positions his/her spouse will likely find available at the university.
