Burundi: Instructors – Pastoral Courses
The Free Methodist Church in Burundi seeks instructors for pastoral courses at Hope Africa University (www.hopeafricauniversity.org). Free Methodist World Missions desires to process these instructors as missionaries.
- Candidates should be able to articulate a call to missionary or cross-cultural service,
- Candidates should have cross-cultural training and be willing to order their lives with sensitivity to the host culture,
- Candidates should have relevant M.A. or M.Div., or, Ph.D. or D.Min.,
- Candidates should be willing to fully identify with Free Methodist ethos,
- Candidates should have or be willing to get exposure to developing world environments and cultures,
- Candidates should have at least two years pastoral experience,
- Candidate should speak French or be willing to learn.
Guidance is provided for partnership/support building.
Responsibilities include all normal responsibilities of a university instructor; preparation, classroom presentation, testing, office hours for students, faculty/department meetings.
In case the applicant is married, there are other meaningful positions his/her spouse will likely find available at the university.
