Positions open:
- Director
- 6th grade teacher
- Music/Art teacher (all school)
- French teacher (5th grade and up)
- Bible teacher (6th grade and up)
Minimum requirements for all positions are a Christian commitment, a bachelor’s degree and English fluency. Exception: We may consider someone with Spanish fluency for the Music/Art teacher. A degree or experience in the field in which you will be teaching is very desired. Teaching experience or training is desired. Spanish will help you adjust to the local culture, but is not required for performing your job.
JCS is a ministry to the local community. We are seeking people who have a heart for service.
We desire two-year commitments. JCS cannot help with air fare, but does pay a small monthly stipend and will help with housing.
Jarabacoa, the “city of eternal springtime,” is located in the central mountains of the Dominican Republic. It is also home to a variety of Christian missions and ministries. The Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea are about three hours away by bus.
